How The Lord Used Us in August 2019

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!

We completed 3 MAD Live Events in August and I was blessed to share our ministry with 3 groups of kids at the Child Evangelism Fellowship Camp in Laureldale, PA (Berks County). I spoke to the kids about what it meant for every follower of Christ to be a full-time Ambassador for Him, what the qualifications were, and how to do it. I then contrasted being an Ambassador to being a full-time vocational missionary, also discussing the qualifications and the necessity of being “called of the Lord” to do this work as a vocation. I shared the Gospel with each group of young people and gave them an opportunity to respond in repentance and faith.

We trained 205 people at our MAD Live Events in August and continued to work to fill the calendar. Also this month, my friend, brother-in-the Lord, and riding buddy, Larry, and I again ventured a few hours southwest to Windrock Park to attend the annual hill climbing championships. We were able to share the Gospel with the people whom God connected us with and rode some of the trails. The temperature was 90 degrees with a 100-degree heat index and virtually no wind. Unlike the rainy weather last year, the ground was parched, so dust flew and hung in the air as every competitor attempted to climb the crazy steep hills (cliffs). They had to wait minutes between runs to let the clouds of dust dissipate so the drivers could see where they were going. The A/C in our RV broke on our way back from NH last month so we had no air conditioning. Thankfully, it cooled down in the evening and with the assistance of 2 fans, we were able to sleep in relative comfort.

FYI….We put our home up for sale as we need more room. Right now, the ministry RV cannot be kept at our house as the driveway entrance is too steep. The RV bottoms out when emtering the driveway. Our church blessed us with the ability to park it at our Food Pantry, although it must be moved twice a month when the food pantry is distributing food to those in need. When we are departing on or returning from a trip, the RV has to be parked on the road facing the wrong way, and we must make multiple trips down the driveway with the car to load and unload the food, clothing, and ministry materials. I can’t fill the freshwater tank, wash or wax the exterior, or vacuum the inside of the RV as it sits down in the street. We thank God for someone who has given us a contract to purchase our house, contingent on them selling their house in Castle Rock, CO. We have a contract on a home about 16 miles from where we live now, pending the sale in CO. Prayers for everything to work out are appreciated!

2020 ULTIMATE ADVENTURE TRIP TO UTAH

We are now accepting reservations for our 2020 trip to Utah. The trip will run from June 28thto July 7th. Cost is $1,795 per person plus travel to Salt Lake City. All we need is a $500 deposit per person. The balance isn’t due until mid-late May of next year. No experience is necessary and you don’t have to be a tri-athlete to participate and enjoy what we have planned. If you’re interested or have questions, please contact me.

RV FINANCIAL NEEDS – PLEASE HELP US ELIMINATE THIS DEBT!

We have had some major issues with the RV…the air conditioner, microwave, and leveling jacks to be specific. The rig is just out of warranty, but we purchased an extended warranty for just this situation. Lord willing it will all be fixed soon! Wethank those of you who have sent in funds to help pay off this debt. What a blessing you are! The balance on the RV loan is down to $14,031.28! We would appreciate it if you would pray about helping us eliminate this debt. If you feel led to help, you may send us a check. Just put "For RV" in the memo portion of your check. • SCHEDULE – Praise God for answering our prayers! We have an amazing schedule for September and October. We only have one event on the calendar for November, and we need more events for that month. We are also working to fill the 2020 calendar. Please keep our schedule on your prayer list as it continues to be a challenge to fill the calendar.

• For God's Spirit to move in the hearts of those attending our events.

• For the Lord to bring us someone to teach our training in Spanish.

• For the funds to come in so we can pay off the ministry coach.

July Ministry Report

Greetings in the Magnificent Name of Jesus!

We thank you for your prayers for our 15th (and final) Ultimate Adventure trip to Utah. We had an amazing group of people attend and we were so blessed by them as we concluded our last of these trips. The trips are increasingly becoming hard to do and too expensive. EVERYTHING was more expensive than we had budgeted for last summer when planning the trip. We didn’t want to cancel the trip and disappoint the 22 people who attended, so we continued with the planned trip. Our group hailed from the following states: MA, PA, WV, VA, TN, and NC. This year we added a couple of new activities. We hiked through an underground lava tube and visited 3 different hot springs in the desert. My son, John, and his family came along on the trip, and I asked him to do daily devotions for the group. I was very proud of how he shared with the group. While traveling, I had many opportunities to share my faith in Christ with the Divine appointments that God had prepared for me. One of the Divine appointments connected me with a Mormon man who agreed to take the Gospel of John and read it with an open mind.

We completed 2 M.A.D. Live Events in July, both in NJ. We praise God for one lady who told me that she had given her life to Christ! PTL!
I was blessed to share the Gospel with 37 people at our food pantry this month. Seeds planted. Now it’s up to the Holy Spirit. God set up a cool Divine appointment for me in Alcoa, TN. I went into Culver’s Restaurant for some lunch and JACKPOT! Six K9 officers were on a training lunch break and I was able to give each officer a police Gospel card and I prayed for their safety and salvation. We shared a few war stories as well. As usual, I had many Divine appointments this past month and I was able to share the Gospel, give each some Gospel literature, and pray with people.
Thank you to each and every one of our regular monthly supporters. Your partnership during these tough financial times is such a blessing to us and we pray for God’s continued blessings on you for your faithfulness and commitment to help us impact the Kingdom to the glory of God!
We have two events in August and then the “normal” busy fall schedule kicks in for the first time in several years. Praise the Lord!!! We are so grateful to those who have faithfully been praying for our schedule. As you can see, our God DOES answer the prayers of His people! Thank you, and glory to God!

• Please pray for Cathy - she has been struggling with a loss of taste and smell for several months now. She can’t stand to cook as the smell of her delicious meals turns her stomach. Most of the foods she has always enjoyed taste bad to her. She is very unhappy not being able to enjoy eating. Thanks!
• I was in contact with the folks at Focus on the Family. They are considering and evaluating whether they’d like to do an interview with me. Prayers for this would be appreciated!
