How the Lord Used us in October 2017

Hello Brothers and Sisters!

October was a busy month for sure. We completed 4 MAD Live Events, I preached at 2 Sunday services, attended and spoke at a fall foliage motorcycle outreach ride in upstate NY, and attended our first Windrock Annual Fall Off Road Jamboree. Somewhere between 6-7,000 people attended and I was blessed to have my son John along to minister with me. We were not allowed to set up a prayer tent, but we did have a banner made for the back of our machine. Some stories from the event are on our ministry Facebook page.

I was scheduled to speak at the first Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Conference in VA Beach, but we had several family conflicts. I was blessed to have my good friend and brother Charlie York fill in for me. He did an outstanding job and the feedback reflected that.

On a personal note, we celebrated the official adoption of a new granddaughter, and another grandchild’s birthday. We shared the Gospel with many people this month and were blessed to see 2 people give their lives to Christ at our MAD Live Events, one of whom was our new granddaughter….tears of joy! Thank you Jesus!

We received a number of testimonies this month. Here are a couple to encourage you:

“A car was broken down in the middle of a major highway. I passed by with all sorts of excuses (danger, has cell phone, nice car, will soon get help). I drove half a mile down the road when God led me to turn back. The driver was a young lady with tear-stained mascara with a blown out tire. I urged her to drive a 100 yards to the safety of a side street. When she got out of the car I asked if I could pray that her day would improve. I did and she gave me a hug. I discovered that she did not currently attend church at least in part because of work. I got back in the car and drove down the road when I remembered that I had one more Gospel of John in my car. Once again I turned around and went back. Her father had arrived so there wasn't much opportunity to talk, but I gave her the Gospel and told her that God had led me to give it to her. I encouraged her to read it. Pray for Jamie.”

“I picked up four of the Gospel booklets at an evangelistic seminar I attended (Lynchburg). For a few weeks I carried them around afraid to speak to anyone. Finally, I felt the Holy Spirit move me to speak in Spanish to several men who were roofing our neighbor's house. I gave them a Spanish booklet and shared with them the Gospel. They received the booklet happily. That was three days ago. Since then, I have given out the other three pamphlets, and I am scheduled to meet with one of the people I witnessed to. They want to learn more about Christ! I'm so excited about what God is doing through me. I just ordered 60 more Gospels. It feels like once God opened my eyes to those around me, He started bringing more and more people to me. I can't wait to get more Gospels.”

FINANCES

Our current regular monthly support is now at 56%. If it weren’t for the love offerings that we get at our MAD Live Events, we’d need second jobs to pay the bills and we couldn’t serve our Lord full time. As you can see from the schedule, this is one of our slow times of year, so we have fewer love offerings to rely on. We praise God for His faithfulness and blessings on our ministry over the past nine years, even though our regular support has not been 100%. He has kept us alive and serving Him full time through the love offerings. We would greatly appreciate your prayers concerning our finances. Would you seek the Lord in prayer asking Him if you should begin a monthly partnership with us to continue to build the Kingdom? Thanks…that’s all we can ask.

PRAYER REQUESTS

- 2018 Schedule - We continue the battle to get into churches. Hours and days of phone calls not returned. Please pray for the Lord to go before us and open doors to fill the schedule.
- We have been blessed to have a Sister in the Lord translate our MAD Live Event into Spanish. We are in need of someone to present the MAD Live Event in Spanish speaking churches. Would you pray for God to bring us someone who could do this as we seek to expand the ministry?
- Pray for our finances - that God would provide additional monthly partners, large and small to help us get closer to, and reach 100%!
